Stimpak
or stimulation delivery package, is a type of hand-held medication used for healing the body. This item consists of a syringe for containing and delivering the medication and a gauge for measuring the status of the stimpak's contents. When the medicine is injected, it provides immediate healing of the body's minor wounds.
Rad-X
is an anti-radiation chemical that can significantly reduce the danger of irradiated areas. When combined with an advanced radiation suit, Rad-X can -even at moderate medical skill levels- create near-immunity to radiation.
RadAway
is an intravenous chemical solution that bonds with radiation particles and passes them through the body's system. It takes time to work, and is also a potent diuretic. It cannot be used to keep away radiation when entering radioactive areas like Rad-X, but instead is used after receiving radiation to purge some from the body.
It has several adverse effects, most notably headaches, stomach pains, and hair loss.
Buffout
The pill-shaped drug, typically contained in small bottles, increases Strength and reflexes, with the disadvantage of being highly addictive. Buffout is similar to real life steroids.
Coyote Tobacco Chew
Not actually tobacco, this plant is usually found out in the middle of the desert, and is used to increase agility.
Hydra
A curative agent which both anesthetizes and restores crippled limbs over time. Made by mixing cave fungus and antivenom.
Cave Fungus
Cave fungi are pieces of fungus skewered on a stick, like a "kebab". They are mostly found in the east, and its curative properties are often being as the basis of most tribal medicines.
Antivenom
is modern medicine's answer to the tribal antidote by combining nightstalker blood and radscorpion glands which acts as a vaccination against the poison. Its use can cure any poison, and fixes the "blur" side effect instantly. It is a purely medicinal consumable with no side effects.
Jet
is a highly addictive drug first synthesized by humans a few years after emerging from the vaults. It is extracted from brahmin dung fumes and administered via an inhaler.
Med-X
is a potent opiate analgesic that binds to opioid receptors in the brain and central nervous system, reducing the perception of pain as well as the emotional response to pain. Essentially, it is a painkiller delivered by a hypodermic needle. 15 hits of Med-X is more than enough to kill a man.
Psycho
appears as a form of injected drug composed of strange, unknown chemicals of military origin, that comes with its own unique delivery system. It was designed specifically for military use. It increases a soldier's damage resistance, and its dampening effect on higher brain functions make for tough, but uncontrollable, troops. This drug was very popular for human-wave assaults.
appears as a metal hip flask filled with liquid jet and a pair of glass vials of pre-War adrenaline drugs taped to the side, which flow up through tubes into the mouth of the flask. A needle on the top administers the drug cocktail, causing a steady rush of energy rather than an instant energy rush.
Rebound's effects are similar to jet, in that it boosts the player's AP level. However, unlike jet, rebound continuously resupplies the player with AP for a duration of time, effectively boosting their AP recovery rate. Combined with jet, this can be a very effective AP regeneration method, however, addiction is a risk.
